Okay, you made life easy for me this week. I'm looking for things to read and I'm taking your advice on several of these. I'm in one of those picky moods, where nothing I see looks interesting enough. So I'll take your word....Happy New Year....Ryan

That's one of the main reasons I even post about books I read...to help people find a good book to read. That, and to keep me writing in a different mode.

If you don't mind my asking, which ones from the list piqued your interest?

THE ROAD, THE CHOCOLATE WAR and THE GIVER. I don't know anything about the last two, but I've been wanting to read CM for a long time and THE ROAD is the first I'm going to buy.

I'm going to be picking up CM's BLOOD MERIDIAN here pretty soon. I've heard nothing but amazing regarding it.

Those are 3 really good books. Add water, mix, enjoy thoroughly.

I've heard good things, too. And, duh, I've never read anhything by CM. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks...

Now that you've read Almond's CLAY, give his KIT'S WILDERNESS a try. I think I liked it even better than CLAY. Not as creepy but there's more craft than you can shake a stick at.
