I know, right? Personally I think they're all nuts, and we should throw them out and start over.

I really wish John Edwards had been able to stick it out. I think he would have done a good job.

For full disclosure, I'm not sure whom I'm voting for . . .

While I agree none of the candidates are ideal, I'm not sure that discounting Barack because of his pastor is on the same level as discounting Hilary or John for the individual reasons you cite above.

My biggest problem with the whole "racist pastor" fuss that arose (besides the, you know, racist pastor part) was the implication that association with a person is the same thing as agreement with the person's ideas and morals. I don't know that I buy that. (Not to say Barack is perfect, but I think using his association with the pastor as a means of discredit is turning away from a lot of more important issues. How does he feel about health care, the war, the issues that will affect his Presidency, if he's elected? I think he's proven quite aptly that he's not racist, so the influence of the pastor on his life seems like an empty association.)

And, by the way, I'll never understand how 4,000 deaths is a success. Never.

I'd like to know what happened to objective jouralism in America? If you watch Fox News, Obama is behind in the polls and he'll never survive the Rev. Wright problem. If you watch CNN, the Obama polls are up and he's surviving the Rev. Wright thing very well. And it's the same thing for Hillary and McCain, too, depending on who is doing the reporting.

I have never seen so many friendships strained, and so many people at odds over an election...at least where I live in Bucks County, PA.

I hear ya, friend.

Objective journalism is a thing of the past. We are an entertainment culture, so the media entertains as well. They give their viewers what they want to hear. That's part of it.

The rest of it is spindoctoring. Everyone trying to use what little sway they have over their niche of the world to nudge things the direction they want.

Integrity is on life support.

Use it all you want. I didn't make it up. There was actually a band back in the 90s called the Spin Doctors. I used to love one of their songs called "Two Princes." Anyway, the word is public domain. ;)
